Fixture Design Pros

Design for Manufacturing

Cost is designed in. So is the fix.

DFM review sheet. A clean engineering drawing of a plate with one feature circled in amber.

Every feature earns its place.

Most of what a part, fixture or frame costs to make is set before the drawing is released. DFM means asking “how will this be made?” at every decision, and cutting features that add tooling or fabrication cost without adding function.

Tolerance where it counts

Tight only on locating and functional features.

Standard over special

Catalog components before custom parts.

Fewer setups

Geometry that's made in fewer operations.

The free DFM Review

Send a part, fixture, tool or frame you're about to quote or build. We'll send back a short written summary of what's driving cost and what we'd consider changing. No charge, no obligation.

What to send
  • A STEP file, PDF drawing, or a clear sketch
  • Material and process, if known
  • Rough quantity and what the part has to do
What you get back
  • Cost drivers and risky features, marked up
  • Suggested simplifications and tolerance changes
  • Questions worth answering before release
Scope and terms

Reviews cover a single part or small assembly; larger packages get a quote. Ask about an NDA before sending anything sensitive, and please don't send export-controlled data. We share a file link after you reach out.

Do you need native CAD?

No. A neutral STEP file and a drawing is ideal; a PDF or sketch is enough to start.
